A Perfect Day At Epcot - Update #8

With under a week now left of my program, it seems we're trying to pack everything in that we possibly can - despite the fact the entire summer has been crazy and I don't see how we still have things left to do!

However Monday saw a different kind of park day, as I headed to Epcot with some friends armed with just the one fastpass for Character Spot to meet Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. After this we proceeded just to wander around the World Showcase, trying on tiaras like the true princesses we are (or perhaps aspire to be!)

We got to look in lots of the pavilion shops before our lunch reservation at Via Napoli where four of us divided and conquered a half-metre long margherita! I've heard the ingredients used there are imported direct from Italy, and you could definitely taste that in the pizza with the tomato sauce being so rich and flavourful

We were all so content after finishing, feeling sleepy and ready for a nap of some kind - but that's not something you do as a CP, so our adventures continued!

We went to meet Joy and Sadness, bracing the long line which ended up being 25 minutes and completely worth it. We caught them just before their break where Joy decided that Sadness needed a touch of my magic in her life so did some redecorating.

Joy ended up laughing so much she was shaking, taking a moment against the wall to calm herself! Meanwhile Sadness wouldn't let go of my hand, and everyone in the room (photopass included) could not stop smiling! Definitely a core memory made there.

After this we also met Pluto at the World Showcase entrance before I headed backstage around 4ish for my shift at Mouse Gear which started at 5 (I've actually worked there around 7 times on this program I think! I just love it there!)

Kierra and Megan came to visit me at work where I was the runner, meaning I went round the five sets of registers picking up and sorting the hangers, ink tags, and processing any packages that needed to be sent to the front of the park or delivered to a resort.

It was one of those purely wonderful days where we didn't feel stressed at all, we enjoyed our time and, realising this only partway through my shift as I reflected on how much fun we'd had, we didn't do a single ride!

This is one of the things I love most about the program, as the parks become a place where you can merely hang out and grab food as opposed to jumping around the attractions having to do absolutely everything as it's your one day there. The pressure is off for it to be a perfect day, and resultantly it becomes one. As you can probably tell, I never want to leave!
