It's been a crazy week here at Disney World as I had my Traditions class, meaning I am officially a cast member again, had a bunch of park time and also started my On The Job Training at World of Disney over in Disney Springs!

Traditions took place last Thursday at Disney University, and was roughly a 4 hour class where we learnt all about Disney's Four Keys (once again!), got to take a trip to Magic Kingdom to see them in action, and also received our name tags which is always a special moment.

Afterwards, we headed back to housing before going straight back to Magic Kingdom for the rest of the day, getting our ear hats decorated, riding a couple attractions, taking in Happily Ever After for the first time since being back, and enjoying the general atmosphere of the parks; that's something I always treasure about these programs, having so much time to sit back, soak up, and enjoy.

The following day off was another fun one in Disney's Animal Kingdom, exploring Pandora with new friends, getting Night Blossom drinks, finally taking a trip to see my favourite Dr Seeker over at Dinosaur, and then an emotional head back to my old home park, Hollywood Studios.

I got to see a bunch of my previous coworkers which was so sweet, watch the Stormtrooper march as I used to do several times a day, and we topped off the night watching Fantasmic as I enjoyed the updated carrot cake cookie - same recipe, but the cake to frosting ratio isn't as great anymore!

On Saturday I had a 4 hour class called Our Town at Disney Springs, which was my property orientation learning about the story behind it and some key spots, before spending the evening in Epcot dodging the intermittent rain! The following morning, training began at World of Disney and I became a red tag again as I am "earning my ears".

Training will take 5 days in total before I'm "set free" on the floor, but so far it's been very enjoyable learning that most of my job this time around is simply talking to people, getting to know their stories, and recommending product.

My schedule is certainly a lot less hectic than last year, with 2 days off coming up (and in a row!) so I'm going to be getting plenty of park time in. However on Monday I had a very special morning without riding a single attraction, celebrating earning myself a first class university degree in style over at Grand Floridian Cafe.

I enjoyed breakfast with Kierra, Megan and Lois as we had various waffles, pancakes and accompaniment plates before our server brought out adorable celebratory cupcakes. It's always about that extra magical touch at Disney, and they definitely exceed all expectations.
