As part of participating in a Disney College Program, you pick up a whole new Disney language. Including acronyms as well as slang to shorten other phrases, it’s inevitable that you’ll continue using these back home much to the bafflement of your friends and family.

Here is the ultimate guide to getting you up to speed with Cast Member talk!

TTC = Ticket and Transportation System

Westclock = Arrival Location for MK cast members

Radio Speak

There are certain codes used to talk to fellow cast members about situations you perhaps don’t want guests knowing about. These are a few of them but the rest you’d better just learn out there!

101 = Shut down, typically used when lightning is in the area

102 = All clear; reopen!

10-4 = Understood

Your Area

There will also be a lot of slang specific to your area, mainly revolving around shortening the names for locations e.g. “It’s A Wonderful Shop” became “Wonderful”, “Indiana Jones’ Outpost” became “Outpost” and “Tatooine Traders” was simply “Tat”!

However once again, you’ll just have to learn that once you get assigned your area. As you do, you’ll suddenly feel part of an exclusive club, and it’s a pretty cool feeling indeed.
